28th February, 2022 - UPDATE:  And the show continues to blaze a trail of delighted and terrified audiences in its wake.  This time it was the turn of the wonderfully gothic Pomegranate Theatre, Chesterfield.  This theatre is just gorgeous, the Jewel in the Crown of Derbyshire's theatres, and this venue is HAUNTED - not by one, but by two ghosts.  The Grey Lady, who moves props around backstage, and the ghost of Robert Stevenson, who walks across the stage to take his seat before the show starts!

Well all went fantastically well again, as we thrilled a wonderful audience who enjoyed the whole ghost train roller coaster ride.  We had a fantastic time there, check their reaction in the video below, and further down check the reactions from other venues on the tour.

It's really fantastic to see such large crowds back in theatres again, this time there were 421 lovely people there to see Friday's show.  Big thanks to them and the management and staff of the Pomegranate Theatre, Chesterfield.
The show played The Gatehouse Theate, Stafford on Friday 28th January, 2022 and had the best night so far on its spectacular return after the Covid lock downs.  Indeed the first eight venues on The Haunting of Blaine Manor Coast to Coast Tour have gone down an absolute storm with audiences!
Check the Stafford audience reaction below:
A quick note about The Gatehouse Theatre management and staff here who were absolutely outstanding in their support of the show and cast.  We've been blessed with so many great theatre teams along the way but Stafford really topped the pile. Phenomenal, thank you.

As you can see the 430 strong audience really enjoyed the show, and we really can't wait to return.  Thank you Stafford, wonderful people and a wonderful theatre.

The two previous venues to The Gatehouse in Stafford were literally Coast to Coast - from the oldest working theatre in Wales, Theatr Colwyn, Colwyn Bay to the magnificently gothic Scarborough Spa, right on the East Yorkshire coast line.  Coming out of (or should I say still being in) the Covid pandemic we were always worried about how this would affect audience numbers.  From the responses we've seen on the tour confidence is building in audiences and so many have expressed how great it is to be in theatres again.

More than anything they've really expressed how much they love this show, the show's facebook page is filling up with amazing reaction to the play, the cast, the lighting and sound design, the shocks, the horror, the laughs and the jaw dropping twists at the end.

Scarborough Spa was an amazing show, the theatre is literally on the sea front, the waves were pounding the theatre as we played and the building literally shook with every wave, it really added to the feeling of a haunted manor - and this was the audience reaction.
Theatr Colwyn's Sold Out performance, these guys were absolutely amazing and brought the. house down, it  really went down so well that we are already returning - we will return on Friday 29th and Saturday 30th of April. We're enormously grateful to all the theatres on this tour, including The Platform, Morecambe, Tyne Theatre and Opera House, Newcastle, The Muni in Colne and the other three wonderful theatres mentioned in this update.

An older video below from one of our Halloween shows a couple of years ago (which is why some of the interviewees here look particularly interesting - getting with the Halloween vibe), but again this gives you a feeling of how well the show is going down with audiences.
And here are some pics of the wonderful audience at Port Sunlight's magnificent Gladstone Theatre.  Another very lively and engaged audience, scanning that crowd you'll see a sea of smiling faces.   I wish I'd taken photos at all the venues since we came back, all we've seen are delighted and really lively responses from wonderful crowds - long may it continue.

Below you will find a few images of the show, taken by Darren McGinn.  Huge thanks to all you audiences and the amazing management and staff at all of the venues we've been to so far, you've been absolutely fantastic.  The Coast to Coast Tour will return on Friday 18th of March at Wakefield's majestic Theatre Royal, and as I write this the show is selling fast and looks like it will be a sold out show...so book your tickets here:
