So it's early days for the novel, and it's clear that in a sea of over 700,000 titles it's gonna be tough getting the word out there, particularly as I am a new author on there.  Looking at the first monthly sales report it was really hard reading, heart breakingly hard reading - for the hours spent at the keyboard promoting it and the returns of that promotion it was almost hardly worth it.

The one thing social media promoting has brought home to me is that regardless of how many 'friends' you think you have or may have acquired, the internet is still a very, very lonely place.  You're not a 'friend' - you're a statistic.  That's fine and all part of social media.  I say 'almost hardly worth it' because there has still been an excellent flip side to this. 8 reviews and everyone of those reviews has been 5 Star.  For first time authors it's hard getting your wares before an agent or publishing house - the real muscle you need behind you, it can take bloody years - but that's the 'golden ticket' you need, clearly.  So I'll continue that search for the agent, the publisher, but in the mean time go independent to chase those reviews that may help achieve that mission.  Reviews are the LIFEBLOOD of any new title, they generate further sales.

So, in line with chasing those reviews I'm putting the novel up on Amazon for FREE DOWNLOAD for 24 hours on 16h September. So go for it, get it, it's FREE and you can read it on any device with the kindle app supplied on the site, but I ask you one thing.  I sweated over this novel for months, grafted and made it, I'm not over the moon about giving it away for nothing - but I'll LOVE having done that if you give it a review on the Amazon page for it.  It's the very least you can do if I give it you for free.  Be as honest as you like, false reviews mean nothing.  But I think you'll like it...:)

You can download the novel here:

Please feel free to share the blog too, apologies to those that have already bought it. I certainly originally had no intention of giving it away for free, this is just an all too necessary promotional tactic to generate those reviews, but a HUGE THANK YOU for buying it.
