An experiment...

Picture
A Fear of BIG WORDS...was very much an experiment.  A cross section of scenes from the theatre, music and film of Tales from Paradise Heights.  Many of the scenes were taken from the different theatre productions and were deliberately taken out of their original context, given a fresh zeal and new lease of life to the actors that had played them before.   The live scenes worked well with the selection of film clips shown on the evening. The night presented something new both to those familiar with Paradise Heights and to newcomers to the series.  From the feedback we recieved from The Octagon the night was a great success with the audience, good news for us as this is something we can roll out to theatre's/towns nationwide that are not familiar with the work.  The night was produced and directed by Ian Curley and Joe O'Byrne.

The cast were Ian Curley, Alice Brockway, Ste Myott, Jo Malone, David Edward Robertson, Tangled Man, Stella Grundy, Jeni Howarth Williams and Joe O'Byrne.  The evening was filmed by Mike Craig and Tristan Meyer. Mike's own edit of The Gemini Man performed live by Stella Grundy and Tangled Man can be seen below, in addition to rehearsal shots from Lee Bolton and perfomance shots from Mike Craig and Tristan Mayer.   I will update the shots below, and add new video clips over the coming weeks...
